"Review"
"A truth that’s told with bad intent
Beats all the Lies you can invent.
It is right it should be so;
Man was made for Joy and Woe;
And when this we rightly know,
Thro’ the World we safely go.
Every Night and every Morn
Some to Misery are Born.
Every Morn and every Night
Some are Born to sweet delight.
Some are Born to sweet delight,
Some are Born to Endless Night."
 ―William Blake, Endless Night
Agatha Christie is one of the very best detective fiction author. She is an expert at keeping the readers on edge. No matter how hard you try to predict the outcome end never fails to surprise you. This book is one of her finest, in my opinion. It is a sad and tragic story of man's endless greed and how we never realises what is important to us until its too late and there is nothing left but regrets and an "endless night".
Michael Rogers bought the Gipsy's Acre and wanted to build his dream home there with his rich wife Ellie. They didn't pay much attention to the rumours about the cursed land but then his wife died. It felt like murder case but nothing could be proven. After his wife's death he got all her money but he couldn't be happy.
The story is beautifully narrated and the end will shock you to your core. I loved the simplicity of the way the story is told and the tragedy surrounding the characters. For fans of crime and detective fiction this is a "must read book".
