Review: Secret Silver Songs by Jordan Elizabeth

Image
Synopsis Home should be a safe haven. Jemilla’s is anything but that. On an island run by male Singers, any female with the gift to hear the magical songs that keep the peace is put to death. Jemilla must hide the gift that would get her killed. When the Thistly invade the island, they murder most of the island’s population, including the Singers. Jemilla escapes imprisonment, but is pursued by a Thistly captain bent on recapturing her before she can Sing the dead back to life. A silver demon waits in the shadows, whispering secrets Jemilla doesn’t want to hear. Jemilla must fight her way through the forest, but with the enemy after her, she might not get the chance to Sing for her island’s survival. Add to Goodreads Shelf Review This is an epic fantasy and I loved every minute of this beautiful story. The author has created such vivid imagery and amazing characters that one can't help but fall in love with them. This is a world where Singers rule every city on a secluded island. B

Synopsis Monica’s stomach fluttered with excitement as she told the interesting man she’d been flirting with online for weeks all about her weekend plans. He was a great match, and they had so many things in common. But sometimes your life can come down to one single bad decision... NYPD Computer-crimes detective Connor Mitchel’s sister is missing. As he combs through his sister’s life, he realizes Monica might not have been this killer’s first target—or his last. In a twisted game of cat and mouse, Connor thinks he’s finally found the man responsible for his sister’s disappearance. Unfortunately, he’ll first need to convince the shy, distrustful Evelyn Price she could be the next victim tangled in the murderer’s web if she doesn’t agree to help him catch the killer. Title: Musings of an Untutored Pen Author: Fizza Younis Release Date: May 18, 2020 Amazon Link Add to Goodreads Shelf Blurb             It's a collection of poetry that is both happy and sad at the same time. Seemingly unrelated, these poems sketch a picture that is meant to be felt rather than seen. They are witty, emotional, passionate, thought-provoking, hopeful, and sometimes tragic. Each piece is a part of the author's soul, a figment of her imagination, and a window to her most cherished dreams. In a simple yet profound way, every verse relays a message, in the hope that it might guide the lost souls through their darkest times. Teasers “I was also cornered by hateful people, now I live in my shell, Into the deepest darkest nooks, my soul now dwells.” ~Must I Say Hello? “I want to say this to you, my dear, We did our best to make her happier, But she had a sad soul, my dove, She wasn’t an easy person to love.” ~To Be Fair “Why

Synopsis Sometimes, you’ve got to take a job with the devil to pay the bills... Too bad I learned too late the devil wears Armani, is the most uptight man in the history of history, and I just signed an unbreakable contract shackling me to his pompous royal side for the summer. But God, he’s got this British accent that makes my panties melt. Until the words, he says catch up with my brain and make me want to throw one of his precious vases at his head. One minute we’re fighting—and the next—we can't keep our hands off each other. Because somehow, when Mr. Blue Eyes is kissing me, he makes me forget how much he annoys me. And that starts a whole new level of complications I. Don’t. Need. Cuz if you dance with the devil, someone’s gonna end up getting burned… Add to Goodreads Shelf Buy at Amazon Review I absolutely loved this book!
