The Vampire Stalker by Allison van Diepen

"Description"

What if the characters in a vampire novel left their world--and came into yours?

Amy is in love with someone who doesn't exist: Alexander Banks, the dashing hero in a popular series of vampire novels. Then one night, Amy meets a boy who bears an eerie resemblance to Alexander. In fact, he IS Alexander, who has escaped from the pages of the book and is in hot pursuit of a wicked vampire named Vigo. Together, Amy and Alexander set out to track Vigo and learn how and why Alexander crossed over. But when she and Alexander begin to fall for each other, Amy wonders if she even wants him to ever return to the realm of fiction.

"My Favourite Quotes From the Book"

“being bitten by a vampire is not sexy”
― Allison van Diepen, The Vampire Stalker

“How sad that I felt more of a connection to a fictional character than to a guy in real life.”
― Allison van Diepen, The Vampire Stalker

"Review"

This book is every readers fantasy. Imagine your favourite fictional character coming to life and he happens to be a vampire. That is what happened to Amy when her beloved fictional hero came to life but it had its consequences as well. Alexander Banks is charming, handsome and brave. He came to "this" world chasing his Vampire enemy Vigo, who is ruthless and must be killed.
I must admit that the story wasn't anything exceptional but it is so well written that I couldn't put it down once I started reading. apart from the fact that it is paranormal novel (which happens to be another one of my favourite genre) it also portrays the characters with depth and makes you feel as if they were real and they can actually come to life. The climax of the book was epic, so not to give any spoilers, I can only say that it was amazing and to date one of my favourite paranormal books.
