"Review" 

This is an interesting retelling of the beauty and the beast. The book is nothing exceptional and even though it is moderately enjoyable I will not recommend it unless you are fond of fairy tales and want a quick read.

Prince Alexander is an arrogant and obnoxious person and has no regard for anyone else feelings. One day he made the mistake of making fun of an old woman but she was a witch and cursed him so now he turns into a wolf every night and this will continue unless he finds a gel who falls in love with the ugly beast within a year or the spell will become permanent. After cursing him, the women died, just like that.

Cecelia, our heroine, is a usual busy body of the village. she likes to interfere in everyone's business but has a good heart so she is well liked by the people and is hoping to marry a well off lord soon. She doesn't like the Prince and he is not fond of her at all. This is no secret that they both despise each other and simply cannot stand each others' company.
The day Cecelia is jilted by her lord is the day she met the wolf. She is crying and the wolf feels sorry for her and offers his friendship, This way they become best of friends and decides to meet every night. Wolf cannot tell her that he is Prince Alexander but on the other hand when she come across the prince she feels a difference in his attitude.
Apparently the prince has learned his lesson and is now kind and gentle. He is also in love with Cecelia but she does not trust him at all. She trusts the wolf though. Then came the evil cousin of the prince who wants the throne for himself and when he starts interfering with their relationship things become complicated.
I cannot honestly say that it was a well written book, although I am unable to find out exactly what exactly is wrong with it. There is a good moral in there as well. It tells us to be strong and courageous in the face of difficulties in life and to be kind and sympathetic towards others. It is based on my favourite fairy tale I should've enjoyed it more than I actually did. I have been unable to understand whether it was meant for children or grown up readers because frankly it feels like only kids will like it not young adults for whom it is intended. May be its that I was expecting a little more from this book.
