"Quotes"
"And then it was the weirdest thing, just liked you'd see in a cartoon." Daniel jumped, his wonder at the event he was describing causing him to momentarily forget he was in trouble. "She turned to run and bang!" Clapping his hands together, he gestured to show what happened. "She ran right smack into a tree and then just sort of slid down the trunk.." He shook his head. "I never thought that sort of thing happened in real life."

"The keeping is our most important law. Not just for us, but for our people everywhere. It's kept our kind safe from persecution and allows everyone to live in peace. We can't ignore it just because it's inconvenient."
---Nicky Charles, The Keeping
"Well?"
"Well, what?"
"Well, do something."
---Nicky Charles, The Keeping
"What was wrong with the nice romantic comedy? A little hugging, a little kissing, a few misunderstandings, and then, a 'happily ever after' ending!"
---Nicky Charles, The Keeping
"Oh, it's just one of those habits people have. Some guys give a wolf whistle when they see a pretty girl. I.... er.... growl."

"Review"
It is a sequel to "The Mating" and just as good. The book is very well written, with strong and fascinating characters. It was photo of Kane taken by Ryne and sold to a collector which started it. Now a reporter, Melody, is in town to get an interview with Ryne. She is stubborn and persistent, after all a lot of money is involved. Ryne must find a way to get rid of her before she unfolds the truth and put his entire pack in danger.
Melody thought that it was easy money, after all what could go wrong? All she needed was an interview with a photographer and if by any chance her article was published both she and Ryne could be famous. But nothing was as she expected.
Ryne was living in a small town, away from civilization, he seemed to be a very secretive person but Mel thought he wouldn't mind getting a chance at fame and recognition but he didn't want to answer any of her questions. Then there was a little matter of attraction they both felt for each other. Even knowing that they shouldn't get involved with each other they still couldn't help it.....
But could Ryne save his own and his brother's pack from "The Keeping" one law they couldn't ignore even if it meant death....
This was a beautifully written and amazing book. An alpha were-wolf, a nosy reporter, small town people and a lot riding on one interview.. It is full of suspense and intrigue, a must-read book especially for the fans of paranormal fiction. The best part it's free to download from smashwords, enjoy! :)
