Love at Stake is one of my most favourite paranormal series and I have read and loved all the books. this one was no exception. A perfect mix of humour, romance, action and suspense.
Dougal has waited for three hundred years for his love to find him and now finally she is here but she is scared of him and think that he is a monster, a vampire, although at some level she does recognise him but can she get over the fact that he is "dead" half of the time.....
Leah is helping the vamps to fight evil and defeat the viscous vampires, including master Han. Dougal's mission is to protect her as well as defeat evil vamps and they must go to China, a place he never wanted to revisit, place where he lost his true love, Lei, three hundred years ago and where he might lose Leah as well. He vowed that he will not fail her and will protect her at any cost but can he fulfil it.....
When Leah was taken by the enemy he feels his entire world falling apart but in the end evil is defeated and they are reunited.
I love happy endings!! This book has the happiest one :)
