Another 5-star book in the series. Its fun reading these books back to back. In this fourth instalment of vampire academy things have gotten a lot serious. Dimitri was turned into Strigoi and now Rose is on a mission to find him and kill him. This was their promise to each other because they knew no one should live a life of a killer so if you loved someone then the right thing would be to kill them instead. Well, as it turned out that you don't think like that once you are turned into a monster. Dimitri was not happy to find Rose but now he wanted to awaken her as well. So that they might have an eternity together.

Rose went to Russia to find Dimitri. She met his family and killed a number of Strigoi on the way. She also met Sydney, who is an Alchemist. They are human who are given certain powers by Moroi in exchange of taking care of dead Strigoi. To make sure that human never find about secret vampire societies.

Through Rose's bond with Lissa, we also get to see what's been happening in their academy. Lissa and Christian seem to be having troubles in their love life. Avery is Lissa's new friend but can she be trusted?? In the end Rose was able to defeat Dimitri. She went back to Lissa but is it really over?

I am not going to say more than that ;) but I can tell you that things are going to get even better.... or worse, depending on one's point of view. I cannot wait to see how this will end. I am curious to see who gets to have a happy ending and who doesn't....
