Review: It Happened One Wedding by Julie James

It Happened One Wedding

Synopsis

SHE KNOWS BETTER THAN TO SAY “I DO”

After a humiliating end to her engagement, investment banker Sidney Sinclair is done with commitment-phobic men. But when her sister winds up engaged after a whirlwind courtship, she’s thrown in to close contact with exactly the kind of sexy playboy she wants to avoid—the gorgeous best man. She’s stuck with him, for better or worse, until her sister walks down the aisle, but that doesn’t mean she has to give in to his smooth advances, no matter how tempting they are…

BUT HE MAKES IT HARD TO SAY “I DON’T”

Special Agent Vaughn Roberts always gets his man on the job and his woman in bed. So Sidney’s refusal to fall for his charms only makes him more determined to win over the cool and confident redhead. Only what starts out as a battle of wills ends up as a serious play for her heart. Because the one woman who refuses to be caught may be the only one Vaughn can’t live without…

5-Star Review

It has been quite a while since I read any of Julie James' books and I had totally forgotten how good they are. So it made me really happy to read this one. An awesome novel, full of humour, romance, intrigue and love. The plot is brilliant as always, although I must say that in this book the "special agent" side of the story didn't stand out and was just an additional thing which wasn't complimenting the main story line. Nevertheless it didn't make it any less interesting. All the characters are interesting and full of life. A perfect light romance for anyone looking to read a good book.

Sidney has a successful career and after getting heart broken by her fiance she has now moved on with her life. In other words she is finally ready to date again. But this time she knows what kind of guys she must avoid. She is not looking for anything temporary, she wants it all. Vaughn on the other hand exactly the kind of guy she is supposed to stay away from. He is a player through and through. But there is an instant attraction between the two and when circumstances made it hard for them to avid each other, it might be a good idea to give each other a chance. One thing leads to another and soon both are in too deep....

It is one of the best romance novels I read this December and I'd recommend it to all who haven't read it yet ;)
P.S. Happy Holidays and Happy Reading fellows!
