Review: Ghost of a Promise by Kelly Moran

Ghost of a Promise (Phantoms #1)

Synopsis

It might be love…but will they survive the night?

The ghosts of her family's estate on the coast of Maine never troubled Ava Trumble. When she finally inherits the historic mansion, however, there's a small string attached: Ava has exactly one year to solve a 200-year-old mystery of a missing girl, or lose her family's home...

The lead investigator for paranormal TV show Phantoms, Jackson Granger, is prepared for any metaphysical encounter—until now. It's not just the uncanny sense of "coming home" or even his reaction to the fiery redhead who seems to consume his every waking thought. No, it's that the ghosts are using Jackson and Ava's attraction to play out a centuries-old tragedy. Heartbreak. Loss. Overwhelming passion. Now Jackson and Ava must determine if they're sharing something real...or if they've been possessed by a love that never died.

5-Stars Review

An amazing book. Very well written and full of suspense, intrigue, thrill, romance and lots of metaphysical activity. There are two love stories. One tragic between a couple who lived a long time ago. Their ghosts still haunt Ava's family home. another between Ava and Jackson. Both are tied to each other through their past and soon they will find out that they cannot run away fro their destiny.

Ava finds out that she can lose her inheritance if she didn't solve the mystery behind Sarah Kerricks disappearance. Now she is desperate and if it means she has to let "ghost busters" into her house then so be it. Although the team behind the show "Phantom" seems very real. They are not a bunch of eccentrics looking for cheap thrills. And they think that her house is definitely haunted. They must find out who is haunting the house and why. Then maybe the mystery of Sarah's disappearance will be solved for once and for all.

What Ava didn't count on was Jackson being a distant relation of Sarah's family. The moment he enters the house it seems as if the house itself knows and want him out of there. Sarah was after all from a family which betrayed Ava's ancestors. So it seems as if house remembers.....
This is a book for all paranormal lovers. I enjoyed reading it. And I hope you do too...
