Hitchhiking is a bad idea but Caden is desperate.
When she accepts a ride from the first car to come by she meets Gabriel. He's her age, hot, and the closest thing she has to a savior. Problem is, he is a total jerk. With nowhere to go, Caden convinces Gabriel to let her stay with him for one night. He reluctantly lends a couch.
That night Caden wakes up to strange noises. Concerned, she rushes into Gabriel’s room, already anticipating his bad temper. A very unique and interesting story about two (or maybe three) teenagers. It intrigued me since the very beginning. At first I had thought what could the name "sleeping Tom" possibly mean? But as soon I started reading, after a while, it made perfect sence, it fitting. I loved it. A very unusual novel for sure but also a very good one. It portrays the struggle of people when they go through some kind of tragedy or trauma in life, some recover others never do.
When Caden's abusive boyfriend broke up with her she ended up hitchhiking. Gabriel is running away from his own troubles. He wasn't in the mood to help her but for some reason ended up doing just that. He has strange personality, he is unpredictable and angry. at first it wasn't easy for Caden to undertsand him but after a while she realized that he is Gabriel only during the day, at night he is Tom a totally different person. And she became fond of both of them.
Sleeping Tom is a kind of book which provides fodder for the imagination. The story is told in a unique way which is captivating. I couldn't put it down once I started reading. Now I can't wait to read the next book in the series :)
