Ice Moon (Moon Series #5)

Synopsis

One touch and she is his…
Jared Ayers works outdoors, embracing a solitary life, hiding from his inner demons. But after so many of his Pack brothers have found their mates, he starts wondering if there might be a mate in his future too. His world turns upside down after he's hired by the "Ice Queen of Lake Tahoe". One touch is all it takes. One touch to send the wolf howling within...

A gifted psychic with pyrokinesis, Taryn Goldstone wields fire beyond her control– sometimes with dire consequences. With Jared, she discovers that some flames are meant for passion–and healing. She has enemies who covet her powerful gift, but they are about to learn just how far a wolf will go to protect his mate.

5-Stars Review

I loved this book. The story line was exciting and all the characters were well-developed as well as very likable. I liked Jared and Taryn's couple. I also like the irony behind her  "Ice Queen" nickname when it was actually her ability to ignite fire that kept her aloof. It was a very engaging book from the very start. I like paranormal romance and this is definitely going among one of my favourites.

Taryn cannot control her gift hence she builds up walls around herself to hide behind. She is scared that if people come any closer they will get burned. Considering her past the assumption is not so far off its mark. But what she doesn't realise is that instead of erecting walls she can use her energy to control her power so that everyone including her son can come close to her...

Jared knows that Taryn isn't the Ice Queen everyone thinks she is. There is sadness in her eyes and longing. When he realises that she is his mate he knows that now he must do everything in his power to convince her of her own ability to control. It is true that she is dangerous but it is also true that he cannot live without her so they have to give each other a chance...

There is also danger looming around the corner and Taryn and her son seems to be the targets. It's up to Jared to keep them safe...
