The Earl's Return

Synopsis

London, 1819. Four years ago, Darius, the Earl of Redgrave fled London two weeks before his wedding to Lady Mary’s sister and married another woman. Now a widower, he has returned to seek a new wife.

One woman catches his eye . . .

At first, Lady Mary doesn’t recognize the handsome lord as the cad who ran out on her sister. After giving him the cut direct in a London ballroom, she finds herself running into him everywhere she goes, and fighting a forbidden attraction. Not only has Mary sworn off men, Redgrave is so very wrong for her. But she cannot stop thinking of his kisses. Redgrave means to stay away from Mary but it is impossible. Passion between two people who can never be together is a dangerous game.

Review

I loved it! The books is really good. I loved both main characters. This series has been pretty amazing. Every book is better than the previous. Mary's story is no less romantic or scandalous as compared to her siblings'. The story flows smoothly from the start until the very end and kept me on my toes. It was full of intrigue, betrayal, hurt, love, and humor too. In my opinion this is a perfect historical romance <3

Mary has yet to find her soul mate. And she isn't ready to settle down for anyone other than her true love. Therefore it is very likely that she will not marry at all. She is sister of a Duke. She can enjoy her life without tied down to a man. So that's what she is doing. Unlike girls of her age she isn't desperate to find an husband. But then she meets Redgrave, the man who broke her sister's heart. Unfortunately she is unable to deny her attraction towards him...

Redgrave is back in London. After the death of his first wife he is now in search of another one. After all it's his duty to provide an heir for his estate. So that is what he will do. As much as he hates the idea of marriage there is no other option. He plans to find someone timid, biddable, someone who will not expect love from him but still live in harmony. But then he sees lady Mary and now not having love is not an option. He wants her, and he must mend the fences between her family and himself so that he might be able to convince her to take a chance on him..

A beautiful historical romance novel which I enjoyed reading a lot. I hope other readers do too. :D
