Vegas
At least, it sounded like a good idea at the time. I mean what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?
Not so much.
Not when I make rash decisions and the whole world was there to catch my stupidity on camera. But this time...
This time, I took someone down with me and she didnāt deserve any of the sh*t being thrown her way.
The band is pissed I screwed up again.
She's being unfairly hounded by the paparazzi.
I regret everything that's happened.
What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there.
But the bad press isnāt my fault. Things have to go right at some point.
Donāt they?

A week in Vegas sounded like exactly what I needed. Lights, bars, and women.
The pounding grew louder. I rolled my eyes and opened the link. Definitely, the way to get my mind off of everything. I purchased the tickets for the last flight tonight. After a quick call to the Bellagio, I was set up in a suite for the next week.
I checked the time. I had enough to pack and get to the airport for my flight. I took a suitcase out of my closet.
āDammit, Monty. Open the fucking door.ā
Jackson could stand at the door all night and yell. It wasnāt stopping me from getting on that plane. I opened the suitcase on the bed and pulled the essentials out of my drawers. Within ten minutes, I had my clothes packed and walked into the en suite to grab the toiletries Iād need. The knocking still hadnāt stopped.
Dropping a few things for the plane ride into a bookbag, I zipped up both bags and ordered an Uber. Rolling my shoulders back, I tugged the bag off the bed and went to the door. I popped the lock and opened it to find the entire band standing in the hall outside my room.
āFucking finally,ā Jackson said. āI thought you were going to stay in there all night.ā
I shrugged. āNope. Gotta be somewhere.ā I took a step forward, dragging the suitcase behind me.
Heath noticed the bag first. āWhere are you going?ā
āAway from all this.ā I didnāt bother to stop on my way to the front door. Suddenly, it seemed they all had loads of time to spend together.
āWithout telling us where youāre going?ā Mariās voice had taken on a tone we didnāt often hear and when you did you knew she was pissed.
I turned to look at all of them. āWhy do I need to tell anyone? You all have your own lives and donāt check in with anyone when you make plans.ā
Mari took a step forward, crossing her arms over her chest. āWe do if weāre leaving for more than a night.ā
āWell, times change.ā She narrowed her eyes at me, but I kept going. āYou guys have plans for the night and now so do I. Iām taking the week to relax far from here.ā
āJust tell us where youāre going so we donāt worry,ā Sawyer asked.
I clenched my teeth together. Did he mean worry about me or what I might do? āVegas.ā
Heath scoffed. āYou really think youāre going to relax in sin city? Youād be better off on some tropical island.ā
āAnd maybe I just want some fun.ā
Jackson ran a hand through his hair. āJesus, Monty. Vegas doesnāt sound like a good idea.ā
āWhat? Do you think I need a babysitter?ā
