Review: Bearly Tamed by C.D. Gorri

Bearly Tamed: A Bear Claw Tale 3 (Bear Claw Tales)

Synopsis

"Heā€™s a Clan Enforcer whoā€™s sworn off women. Sheā€™s human female looking for protection. Will fate bring the two of them together?"

Lacey Esmerelda Alain couldnā€™t help that she was born beautiful. Her face was both a blessing and curse. When a jealous suitor turns into a monster before her eyes and leaves a permanent reminder of her rejection across her cheek, she is forced to seek protection.

Daniel Devlin is the head Enforcer for the Barvale Clan. He doesnā€™t believe in fated mates. Not since his ex-fiancĆ©e left him standing at the altar.

He hasnā€™t even thought about the opposite sex! Well, except, for her, the stunning beauty his brother introduced him to a few months ago. Daniel did everything he could to forget Lacey. She didnā€™t belong in his world.

Finally alone, he can concentrate on his duties, but unforeseeable circumstances send her rushing into his arms. Afraid and injured, Lacey comes to Bear Claw Bakery looking for help after her psycho ex-boyfriend revealed himself to be a dangerous Shifter. Crazed with jealousy the man threatens to kill Lacey, but Danielā€™s protective instincts kick in.

Can he keep things professional, or will his Bear demand he claim the beauty for his own?

Review

I loved this book! It is a great paranormal romance novel and I think that anyone who likes shifters will enjoy this story. It starts with intrigue and ends in a HEA. So, I'd say that both the beginning and the ending are perfect. The story flows smoothly and characters are well-developed. I love all the characters in this series so far. All in all, it's a great read.
Lacey is both emotionally and physically hurt. She is scared and has no idea what to do. That's when a complete stranger shows kindness and she ends up being protected by the enforcer of Barvale Clan. She knew Daniel from long ago and for some reason she trusts him instinctively. She knows in her heart that he will never hurt her. To be honest, she also finds him very attractive.
Daniel wants to rip the wold who harmed Lacey to pieces. But right now his first priority is to make her feel safe and give her time to heal. Soon he realizes how important she is to him and his bear. There is no way he will ever let her go. Together they will work through everything.
I think that this story is beautifully told. I really enjoyed reading it and can't wait to read more about Barvale Clan.

P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
