Review: Awaken: Book two of the Alderash Series (Alderash Series #2) by Tanya L. Harris

Awaken: Book two of the Alderash Series

Synopsis

In the anticipated next chapter, Awaken returns us to Tanya L. Harrisā€™ Alderash Series.

Katieā€™s visions are getting stronger showing her the atrocities caused in the past and what will happen in the future if she doesnā€™t accept her birthright. The visions also reveal her brothers are being tortured for information about her. She needs to find them before their captors decide theyā€™re no longer needed.

The Evil of old, the Darkness, is growing and consuming the energies of the outer realms, building its strength and power. It knows that Katie can not be reunited with her brothers, because together, her powers will be unmatchable.

Unpredictable circumstances force a hand and neither side could anticipate the resulting clash between elven and monster.

Prepare yourself for a wild ride with plenty of plot twists and turns with a conclusion that will shock you.

Review

This is the second book in the Alderash Series. It starts from where the previous book had left off. The story continues and it is just as epic as book one. This series has created a world that is full of magic and intrigue. It is well-written and has some really amazing characters. I especially love Katie's character. Things get even more complicated in this installment of the series and danger becomes even more eminent. There are enough turns and twists to keep readers entertained. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend to anyone who loves high fantasy.
