Review

This is an intense read and I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the story and the characters. Micki is an interesting teenager who doesn't know how to fit in among her agemates. Candy is the perfect side-kick anyone can ask for and they both become best friends forever. I enjoyed their interactions. It was amusing to see the two them having fun and getting themselves into trouble. Valentine's character was intriguing and he soon became one of my favorite characters in this story.

Micki is attracted to Valentine but she doesn't trust him. After all, he does seem involved with the creepy people who are trying to hurt Micki. The only problem is that she doesn't know the whole truth. This small Southern town seems to be hiding more secrets than she can process. At least, she has Candy by her side. Together they might figure out a solution to her current dilemma. One thing is for sure, there is no way she will go through with the crossing even if it meant losing her life.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is funny, scary, and quite romantic at times. I loved the beginning and I loved the bittersweet ending as well. I'd recommend it to all paranormal fans. This novel portrays the vampires in a unique way which I found very entertaining.
