Review: The Faerie Mates (Dark World: The Faerie Games #3) by Michelle Madow

The Faerie Mates (Dark World: The Faerie Games Book 3)

Synopsis

In the Faerie Games, it’s kill or be killed. And I’m going to survive, no matter what the cost.

Who will win the next Emperor of the Villa competition? Will I tell Julian that we’re soulmates? And most importantly—will Julian, Cassia, and I defeat Octavia and make it out of the Games alive?

I’ll do whatever’s necessary to survive. Because I’m Selena Pearce—raised by the leaders of Avalon, born of a powerful witch and a faerie prince, and gifted with magic from Jupiter.

And I’m not going to let fear control me any longer.

Review

This is probably the most thrilling and sad book I've read in a while. I enjoyed it, that much is true but it made me cry as well. These Faerie Games are brutal! Since this is the third book in an ongoing series, the story continued from where it had left on from book two. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I will just say that this book will wrap up a few things while there are things that are left unanswered. I enjoyed the little twist in the end. It was very well-done and has made me more curious as to what will happen next. I can't wait to read the next installment. I hope the next book is a little bit happier in tone. ;)

Overall, this is a well-written book and all the characters are amazing. I have enjoyed the Dark World so far and hope to enjoy it in the future as well. Oh, and I must say that do read this series because as far as I'm concerned these books are a must-read for all book lovers. Especially, those who enjoy quests, adventure, action, thrills, and romance all mixed up together.

P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
