Review

Wow, this is such an intense read, I enjoyed every minute of it. The story started on a sad note but it ended happily and that's all that matters. I loved the characters and think that this is a must-read for all historical fiction fans, especially if you enjoy a little mystery & intrigue along with romance. I found it to be an entertaining read.

Connie is on the run after she is accused of her husband's murder. She intends to find out the real killer and clear her name because otherwise, she'll never be free of her past. And that's what she wants more than anything else... to be free...

Alec wants to help Connie because they were once friends and also because he feels sorry for her. He is a man who would never leave anyone stranded so if he can help her he is going to do just that. Together they can unravel the mystery behind the murder.

But soon they will realize that there are still feelings between them. They might not be able to resist the attraction that was always there and still is, even after all these years. Unfortunately, timing is not on their side once again.

This is a very well-written historical romance/mystery. I'd definitely recommend this book to my fellow readers and I hope you enjoy just as much as I did.
