Review

It's an interesting read and I enjoyed it. The story is well-paced and as far as historical romances go, it's a fun one. I quite enjoyed the premise of identical twins switching places. The characters are all likable as well. I especially loved how everything concluded so well in the end. It has one of my favorite endings.
Miss Mary Tomblin considers herself in love with the reverend Wayward. She has set her eyes on him and now all she wants is a chance to make him fall in love with her. She is scared of rejection too but in the end, she shows her true feelings but reverend's reaction isn't the one she expected. Mortified, she wonders what to do next. Then suddenly his behavior towards her changes and once again she is hopeful.
Devlin is only pretending to be his twin brother. He finds Mary attractive but he knows that it isn't his place to encourage her. After all, it is his brother she loves and not him. But then all hell breaks loose when he gives in to temptation. Now there is no turning back and all he can hope is that after the dust settles, his family's good name survives and so does his love for Mary.
All in all, it is an entertaining book and I enjoyed reading it. I'd recommend it to readers who like historical romance novels.
