Review: The Rakehell of Roth (Everleigh Sisters #2) by Amalie Howard

Synopsis

In this game of seduction, the rules don't apply...

As owner of the most scandalous club in London, the last thing the notorious Marquess of Roth wants is a wife. Keeping up his false reputation as a rake brings in the clients with the deepest pockets—money he needs to fund a noble cause. Even though everything inside tells him not to leave his beautiful, innocent wife behind at his country estate...he must.

But three years later, tired of her scoundrel of a husband headlining the gossip rags, Lady Isobel Vance decides enough is enough. She is no longer a fragile kitten, but as the anonymous author of a women’s sexual advice column, she’s now a roaring tigress...and she can use her claws.

Isobel decides to go to him in London, channeling her powers of seduction to make him beg to take her back. But she didn’t expect her marauding marquess to be equally hard to resist. Now the game is on to see who will give in to the other first, with both sides determined like hell to win.

Review

One of the best historical fictions I have ever read! This story is everything; emotional, romantic, sad at times, and a lot of fun. I loved all the characters, especially the main characters. I'd definitely recommend this book to every historical romance fan.

Lady Roth is tired of waiting for her husband to remember her. It has already been three years and now she is ready to chase after him. She knows he might not be easily persuaded, but she won't know unless she tries. So here she is, in London, ready to take control of her life once again.

He is known as the Rakehell of Roth, but he is not just that. There is a lot more to him and his wife will soon find it out unless he makes sure that she goes back to where she belongs. He isn't ready for a family. Marriage was just a necessity. And it's not like he was cruel to her or anything. He only wants to live his life the way he always has. And there is no way in hell he will ever give his father the satisfaction of seeing him happily married.

The two of them are in for a surprise. They will find out that neither is what they seem, and life will surely get a lot more interesting.

If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster of a historical romance, then you must read this book.
