Review: How to Lose a Highlander (The MacGregor Lairds, #1) by Michelle McLean

Synopsis

Forced into marriage by their king in order to stop years of inter-clan feuding, Sorcha Campbell and Malcolm MacGregor are each determined to drive the other away. Malcolm knows he can never trust his new shrewish wife, despite the fact that everything he observes seems to prove that she’s not only trustworthy, but utterly perfect for him. Sorcha knows she can never let her guard down around the man she believes betrayed her father, yet the longer she’s with him, the more she discovers he is nothing like she was led to believe. They’ll have to fight their way through past prejudices and their own determination to destroy their union in order to gain their perfect HEA in this Taming of the Shrew meets How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days tale.

Review

It's too funny, Sorcha and Malcolm are both quite entertaining, and their banters made me laugh so much. They're obviously attracted to each other but they simply cannot forget animosity between their clans. So, even though King himself decreed their wedding, they must find a way out of this mess. They can't stay married for long. And hence the war began....
Sorcha tried her best to be the worst wife possible, she acts like a shrew, and drives Malcolm crazy. Malcolm on the other hand tries his best to ignore her, their is no way he will be the one to cry off their union. Then his clan will suffer King's disfavour. He will have to wait. He is sure that his wife won't be able to stay with him for long and soon all his problems will be resolved...
But soon they are going to find out that things aren't always what they seem. May be then they will give their marriage a chance... who knows it may end in a happily ever after.
