Review: Straight Up Irish (Murphy Brothers #1) by Magan Vernon

Synopsis

I need a wife if I want to help save my family’s billion-dollar pub empire. There’s just one problem: I never plan on marrying. So, I need someone who understands that this is just another business deal. I don’t do commitments. And my brother’s executive assistant, Fallon Smith, fits that bill.

Fallon needs help with her grandmother’s expenses, and her pretending to be my fake wife is a way we can make that happen. She’s not my biggest fan, but we can help each other and then go our separate ways. That she’s beautiful and I enjoy spending time with her–doesn’t matter. When all of this is done, she’s heading home to America, and I’ve got a company to run.

A fake wedding and a whole lot of whiskey. What could go wrong?

Review

It's a very engaging story and it's well-written too. I quite enjoyed reading it. Romance side of the story is perfect, characters are amazing, and chemistry between them is exceptional. In short this book is immensely entertaining and enjoyable read for romance lovers like myself.

They never thought that their father would leave them with such a complicated will, bit now Murphy brothers face a problem; all three of them must marry before an year is up or they'd loose their inheritance. Connor can't believe the predicament he finds himself in. However, Jake's assistant Fallon seems like the answer to all his problems. He likes her well enough, she is attractive, and they can have a marriage of convenience for the sake of his inheritance. After which both can go they separate ways. Of course he will help her too so they will both gain from this arrangement... or so he thought...

It's not that Fallon is poor, but she has students loans and Nana to take care of. So, when her favorite Murphy brother aka Connor put forth his preposterous proposal she actually considers it. Call her silly but this could solve all her problems and she might end up having the adventure she has always craved, but never found time for... but will she be able to keep her heart intact or is this a disaster in the making???

I can't wait to read more about Murphy Brothers and their exploits!
P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley.
