Review: Piqued (The Club #5) by Elise Black

Piqued (The Club)

Synopsis

Claire Phillips is a creative genius. Her canvas is an empty room, her mediums paint wheels and fabric samples. This interior designer’s work is as bold and colorful as her life is dull and monochromatic. If only she could live her life with the same reckless abandon that she devotes to her work.

Sometimes dreams aren’t enough. When circumstances become dire, Claire must decide whether to close up shop or accept a job opportunity that’s both too good and too bizarre to be true.

At The Club, there are three rules:

1. Keep your mouth shut.
2. Keep your mouth shut.
3. Keep your mouth shut.

Some people like to watch and some people like to be watched. Claire thinks she’s neither, but when the man who holds the future of her business in his hands shows a side of himself she’s never seen before, she’ll have to admit that her interest in The Club is

PIQUED.

Review

This is an interesting novella. I have not read this series before but I still enjoyed reading this book. Claire and Hall are both amazing characters. The chemistry between them is perfect. The story has many twists and turns which kept me intrigued. I loved The Club.

Claire is a decorator. She is running her own business but it seems that she won't be able to keep it afloat for long. All thanks to Hall who too her time and then very conveniently failed to pay her. Now she is extremely annoyed with him and in urgent need of work... So when she got an offer to redecorate a special club she simply cannot afford to say no...

Hall wants Claire and he is willing to go to any length to make it happen. Unfortunately it seems that his efforts are not paying off. Claire is angry with him and now he must find a way to her heart... The Club provides perfect opportunity and Hall intends to take full advantage....

Interesting, humorous, cute, intriguing, and quite romantic story, which I think all book lovers will enjoy.
